Travel Tips

To avoid crowds, arrive about an hour before sunset and walk from Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe. You’ll see the sky fade from pale blue to deep indigo as the lights slowly illuminate — an unforgettable Parisian moment.

On New Year’s Eve, the Champs-Élysées hosts a spectacular light and fireworks show around the Arc de Triomphe. If you plan to go, arrive early and stay safe — the area gets extremely crowded. Otherwise, visit earlier in December to enjoy the lights in peace.
